If you have been listening to the news you are well aware of the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that shook the nation of Nepal’s at the capital, Kathmandu, on April 25th. The earthquake has toppled buildings, destroying roads and infrastructure leaving over 6.6 million people affected, many left homeless in a country where basic necessities – like food and water – are already in short supply.
As rescue and relief teams arrive from neighbouring countries and aid is sent from around the world, it only seems fitting to share what Bianca Reis, designer of Brooklyn-based children’s wear brand Agatha Cub, is doing to give back. She realized she could take helping one step further. Starting at 5PM EST on Thursday, April 30th, all profits from sales on the Agatha Cub web shop will go to UNICEF to help efforts in Nepal.
