Petit Grocery Jean Gustav is the name of Bobo Choses’ Spring-Summer 2013 collection, inspired by this whimsical poem by Felipe Cano:
Jean Gustav has a grocer’s soul and an elephant’s body, and all his customers know the taste of
a tomatoey tomato or
a carroty carrot or
an appley apple or
a lemony lemon
due to the simple but very important fact that they buy their fruit and vegetables chez Jean Gustav
With such a starting point it is no wonder that Bobo Choses’ collection is fresh, zesty and simply delectable. Laia Aguilar and Adriana Esperalba started the Spanish brand in 2008 and The English man and the Sitting Bull was the first collection to be presented in Paris in 2009. Since then, their sources of inspiration have been numerous and each collection is presented like a fairy tale.
The contemporary style of the brand returns this summer with an emphasis on simple and comfortable shapes. For the little ones, the organic cotton that has been used throughout the collection is a definite plus. Babies’ fragile skins are protected in their colourful and trendy t-shirts and tracksuits. Pair these playful outfits with the “Mr. Cook” soother! Babies will love this little earthworm, whose friendly face also shows up on lovely nursery furnishings.
Bobo Choses sells in stores worldwide as well as online at www.bobochoses.com, and sign up for their newsletter to be the first to know when new collections hit the e-shop.
