Father’s Day might have come and gone, only to roll around again a year from now, but it looks like celebrating stylish fathers and their families is here to stay, confirmed by Balenciaga’s Men’s Spring 2018 collection designed by Demna Gvasalia.
Inspired by dads on their days off with the family, the typical suit and tie, corporate look took a slightly more causal turn for an off-to-the-park getup. The Balenciaga runway took place at Bois de Bologne, a public park in Paris, where dad models sported a 90s-inspired collection with a little help from children sidekicks to complete the “dad’s day off” look. From tie dye jeans, blazers, polos and retro windbreakers, the pebbly runway was filled with practical new dadwear and stylish kids in the arms of the models or holding hands, in oversized Balenciaga stamped hoodies.
